I just read this and I also want to con...Hi Chris:<br /><br />I just read this and I also want to congratulate you on a wonderful breakdown of a fascinating episode of an endlessly fascinating series. <i>This</i>—not the endless parsing of prosaic details about the mythology—is the kind of thing that intrigues me about <i>The X-Files</i>: what it has to say about humanity, spirituality, the universal quest for knowledge and the comfort/discomfort that comes with understanding what it is you know/don't know about the world around you. All of this is encapsulated beautifully in this piece.<br /><br />Just wanted to add my two cents on one small detail: I had always assumed that the Bounty Hunter, when he tells Mulder that her sister is alive in "Endgame," was just telling Mulder what he wanted to hear in order to make it easier to kill him.
